Closed-loop grab sampling systems are designed to keep the fluids and gases contained within the system to reduce emissions. SENSOR Sampling Systems are designed to provide accuracy while eliminating health risks to your employees as well as the environment. Their proven grab sampling design mitigates potential hazards that exist with extracting representative samples for the hydrocarbon processing and chemical industries. Grab sampling can be best performed by utilizing a fast loop.

Why design a fast loop?

SENSOR Sampling Systems are designed and manufactured for your specific needs. These customizable, high-quality systems are available through SPS West. SPS West can also supply bottles, caps, and other spare parts and consumables as required.

BBSS or the Basic Bottle Sampling System is designed for closed-loop grab sampling of liquids at process pressures less than 150 psig. The sample is dispensed into the sample bottle by merely turning a valve. This system is ideal for all hazardous, low vapor pressure liquids, acids, caustics, and chemicals where O2 or H2O exposure may deteriorate the sample.

When the application calls for a repeatable fixed volume of sample or if the process sample pressure is > 150 psig, the Fixed Volume sampler is recommended. A predetermined amount of sample if captured in a fixed volume container. Ideal for liquid sample streams over 150 psig and samples where overfill is an issue, such as Benzene.

For light hydrocarbons, such as butanes, propane, and ethylene, the LGSS (Liquefied Gas Sampling System) enables operators to obtain samples in a sample cylinder for safe transport to the lab. The VSS (Vapor Sampling System) has similar benefits as the LGSS, but it allows for the safe and representative sampling of non-liquid, gaseous samples such as hydrogen, nitrogen, and H2S.

The Inline Sampling System (ISS) fits into a piping system without the need to utilize, or create, a pressure differential to take a sample. It can be designed to fit into virtually any diameter piping system and any flange configuration.

SENSOR Sampling also provides custom systems to sample the challenging and dangerous Hydrofluoric acid. Collecting samples of HF acid requires a unique grab sampling system and SENSOR understands the complexities of the HF acid sampling process.
