In this episode, Geoffrey interviews Matt Kleiman of Cumulus DS, a technology company that focuses on delivery of a digital twin of the workforce. Most digital twin applications concentrate on physical assets, leaving the workforce to the side. Advances such as low power bluetooth transmitters, accelerometers, GPS sensors and pressure gauges are now being applied to tools (such as wrenches and power tools), and to minor equipment (such as pumps). Cumulus collects data at the interface of the human worker, their tools and their environment to create a real-time view of the work force as well as an audit trail of work carried out, yielding dramatic savings.
