In this episode Geoffrey speaks with Joseph Hlady, President and co-founder of Lux Modus, a terrestrial data collection and processing company. The legacy world of surveyors and data collection of physical infrastructure (buildings, roads, railways, power lines) relies on expensive, bulky and power-hungry technology, and captured limited data. Lux Modus combines off-the-shelf LIDAR technology and hi-def cameras in a small shoebox-sized assembly, mountable on a quad, pick-up or bicycle, to allow data collection at scale, hi frequency, low cost, and nearly unlimited imagery.
