Among the equipment and services AMGAS offers, the T Series Stationary Scrubbers are ideally suited for controlling and neutralizing toxic emissions in venting through utilizing a unique chemical mechanical process. While our client in Northern Saskatchewan had a venting application that was a great candidate for a Stationary Scrubber it came as a shock when the chemical was spending almost weekly which was determined to be caused by H2S and surprisingly high levels of CO2 present in the gas stream. Jointly realizing the requirement to find a more economical solution with a lower disposal footprint, AMGAS worked closely with our client partner to adjust the strategy.

Our excellent Technical and Operations teams worked quickly in finding a solution that would satisfy the client’s needs while avoiding the chance of an emission release. A dual phase scrubbing system was introduced and provided immediate results as it successfully managed both the H2S and CO2. The chemical life was extended drastically which eliminated weekly change outs and all associated disposal costs.

Benefits:

AMGAS spared 74,620L of chemical from disposal. This saved our client $215,473.20 in chemical as well as any costs that would have been required in disposal fees.
Cutting down on the frequency of change outs reduced corresponding costs such as travel and labor as Field Technicians were not required on site as often.
