The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its sixth assessment this week. The 3,000+ page report included a regional breakdown of how the climate has changed already, and the probability human activity has contributed to it.
Four key areas were studied for change:
- Hot extremes
- Cold extremes
- Heavy precipitation
- Agricultural and ecological drought
In some cases, extreme weather events got worse and others they improved.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its sixth report which looked at the physical changes already being experienced due to climate change.
Detailed studies were done on how climate change has affected every region around the world. The Sixth Assessment Report highlights changes in regional hot extremes, heavy precipitation, and agricultural and ecological drought and how human activity has contributed.
