Precise Downhole Solutions’ Resonant Frequency Transducer (RFT™) sensor is the industry’s most advanced electronics-free downhole high-pressure/high-temperature pressure sensor designed to operate in the harshest environments. Precise Downhole Solution’s RFT permanent gauge systems consistently deliver accurate, high-resolution pressure and temperature measurements.

The RFT sensor utilizes a pressure-sensitive diaphragm in conjunction with a frequency dependent resonating element. The diaphragm is welded to a capsule, which is evacuated and hermitically sealed. Fluid pressure acting upon the outer face of the diaphragm causes deflections resulting in a change of frequency of the resonating element. The changing frequency is directly proportional to the pressure acting on it.

Whether operating extremely high temperature (up to 315°C/600°F) or high-pressure environments (up to 150 MPa/21,750 psi) or extreme wellbore conditions, the RFT’s leading-edge technology consistently provides reliable pressure/temperature data in virtually any environment.

The Precise data collection system can perform ongoing sensor health checks to ensure the operator has consistent and reliable data. The RFT sensor housing is corrosion resistant, and we offer many different cable alloys, depending on the application.

The RFT sensor can be utilized in all types of wells, producer/injector wells, observation wells, disposal wells, and water wells. Every RFT is calibrated and tested in-house to ensure the integrity of the sensor.
