US Crude and Gasoline Inventories Rise, Distillate Stocks Fall – EIA

Oil prices were flat following the report. Global Brent crude futures were trading at $91.85 a barrel, up 83 cents, at 10:43 a.m. ET (1443 GMT), while U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures were trading at $86.08 a barrel, up $1.14.

Refinery crude runs rose by 216,000 barrels per day, the EIA said, while utilization rates rose by 1 percentage points in the week to 97.2%.

U.S. gasoline stocks rose by 0.7 million barrels in the week to 209.4 million barrels, the EIA said.

Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 1.5 million barrels in the week to 105.6 million barrels.

Net U.S. crude imports fell by 1.75 million barrels per day, EIA said.
