The U.S. second largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, Freeport LNG, was getting ready to restart processing operations by Thursday after power was restored following the passage of Hurricane Beryl over Texas, two sources close to the matter said.
The facility is not expected to resume shipments of LNG until the port of Freeport, which is operating under vessel transit restrictions, fully reopens, the sources added.
A spokesperson for Freeport LNG told Reuters the company “intends to resume liquefaction operations when post-storm assessments are complete and it is safe to do so.”29dk2902l
