Heaters play an essential role in the processing systems at oil and gas refineries. Traditionally, the industries used fuel-fired heaters to run thermal processes. However, as the international emphasis on decarbonization and greener alternatives continues to gain momentum, process industries around the world are now switching to using electric heat instead of burning fossil fuels.
Electric heaters convert 100% of the power input into heat energy. So, they produce zero emissions as compared to fired heaters. Using electric heat offers numerous other benefits like:

These heaters are designed with low-watt density, open coil heating elements for uniform eating of even the most temperature-sensitive materials. The heater is mounted to the tank by one of three methods:
- ANSI flange mount
- Adapter box mount
- Custom rectangular flange
Seasonally shutting down a cooling tower by draining the tower is often not possible. Using an anti-freeze solution in an open recirculating tower is not recommended. Electric heaters are increasingly being used to maintain cold water basin temperatures above freezing.
