SUGAR LAND, Texas, July 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CVR Energy, Inc. (NYSE:CVI) today announced that Melissa M. Buhrig has been named executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. Buhrig also will serve as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary for the general partner of CVR Energy’s petroleum subsidiary, CVR Refining, LP (NYSE:CVRR), and for the general partner of its nitrogen fertilizer subsidiary, CVR Partners, LP (NYSE:UAN). Buhrig’s appointments are effective July 2, 2018.
Buhrig has more than 18 years of legal experience, primarily in the refining sector. She most recently served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary for Delek US Holdings, Inc. and the general partner of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. In her new position, Buhrig will lead all corporate legal functions and provide strategic legal counsel for CVR Energy and its subsidiaries. She also will serve in the corporate secretary role.

Buhrig received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami.
