COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) is seeking bids for the supply of coal to one or more of its generating stations. AEP seeks proposals for the following:
- Up to 360,000 tons of coal, FOB Barge, beginning in July 2018 and ending in December 2018
- Up to 1.5 million tons of coal, FOB Barge, beginning in January 2019 and ending in December 2019
- Up to 3.85 million tons of coal, FOB Rail (joint-line served), beginning in July 2018 and ending in September 2018
- Up to 1 million tons of coal, FOB Rail (joint-line served), beginning in January 2019 and ending in December 2019
- Up to 500,000 tons of coal, FOB Barge, beginning in July 2018 and ending in December 2018
- Up to 500,000 tons of coal, FOB Barge, beginning in January 2019 and ending in December 2019
AEP is open to alternative pricing structures or other innovative, value-added concepts. Proposals with alternative terms will be accepted. Accepted bids will be at AEP’s discretion.
